Platform engineering and DevSecOps consultants

SwedQ platform engineers build the paths developers use to get code safely into production: pipelines, infrastructure as code, container platforms, observability and security controls that run as part of delivery.

What is platform engineering, and how does SwedQ help?

Platform engineering means building shared, self-service tooling so product teams can build, test, deploy and operate software without reinventing infrastructure each time. SwedQ designs and builds these platforms, integrates security into the workflow and transfers ownership to your platform team.

Signs that developer friction is slowing you down

Platform work is worth doing when the same problems keep appearing across teams.

  • Deployments depend on a few people or on manual steps.
  • Every team maintains its own pipeline, often in slightly different ways.
  • New environments take days or weeks to set up.
  • Security reviews happen late and block releases.
  • Nobody can quickly answer what is running in production and whether it is healthy.

What we build

Each element can be delivered separately, but they work best as one coherent platform.

Developer platforms

Templates, golden paths and internal portals that give teams a supported way to create and run services.

CI/CD

Build, test and deployment pipelines with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps or similar tools, designed for small and frequent releases.

Infrastructure as code

Terraform, Bicep, AWS CDK or Pulumi, with reviewed changes, reusable modules and drift detection.

Kubernetes and containers

Container platforms on Amazon EKS, Azure Kubernetes Service or self-managed clusters, with sensible defaults for networking, scaling and upgrades.

Cloud foundations

Account or subscription structure, identity, networking and guardrails that new workloads inherit.

Observability

Logs, metrics, traces and alerts that help teams find problems before customers report them.

Security built into the delivery workflow

DevSecOps moves security checks to the point where they are cheapest to fix. That includes dependency and container scanning, secret detection, policy as code for infrastructure, signed artifacts and least-privilege access for pipelines. The aim is that the secure path is also the easiest path for developers.

Self-service without losing control

Self-service only works when guardrails are built in. We agree with you which choices teams can make on their own, which are standardized and which need review, and implement those rules in the platform rather than in documents.

Measuring progress honestly

We agree on indicators with you, such as lead time for changes, deployment frequency or time to create a new service, and measure them before and after. We do not promise specific productivity gains in advance, because they depend on your starting point and adoption.

Frequently asked questions

Do you build platforms on AWS or Azure?

Both. SwedQ builds platform foundations on AWS and on Microsoft Azure, and on Kubernetes regardless of the cloud provider.

Will we depend on SwedQ to run the platform afterwards?

Not unless you want to. The platform is built in your accounts and repositories, documented, and handed over to your platform team. Ongoing operations can be agreed separately.

Can you improve an existing platform instead of building a new one?

Yes. Many engagements start with a review of the current pipelines and infrastructure, followed by targeted improvements.
